Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 September 2026

1. General

This website, at sverdlov.co.il or at any address that replaces it, is operated by the Law Office of Leon Sverdlov (the "Firm"), managed by Advocate Leon Sverdlov, a member of the Israel Bar Association.

Use of the website, including reading its content and submitting details through its forms, constitutes acceptance of these terms.

These terms are written in the masculine form for convenience only and are addressed to every person, of any gender.

Anyone who does not agree to these terms, in whole or in part, is asked not to use the website.

The website is also presented in Hebrew and in Russian. In the event of any discrepancy between the versions, the Hebrew version prevails.

2. The content of this website is not legal advice

The content on this website, including the guides, the frequently asked questions and the description of the Firm's practice areas, is general information intended to explain the legal background in accessible language.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice, an opinion or a recommendation to act, and it is no substitute for individual legal advice that takes the circumstances of the particular case into account.

The law, case law, sums and time limits change from time to time. Content that was accurate when published may no longer be accurate when read. Nothing on this website should be relied upon in making decisions or taking action.

Nothing on this website constitutes a promise or undertaking as to any outcome in any matter, nor any comparison with other lawyers.

3. Contacting the Firm through this website does not create a lawyer-client relationship

Submitting details through the contact form or the land due diligence questionnaire, sending an email or messaging via WhatsApp do not in themselves create a lawyer-client relationship between the enquirer and the Firm.

A lawyer-client relationship arises only after a conflict-of-interest check, the Firm's express agreement to take on the matter, and the signing of a fee agreement.

Information provided to the Firm in an initial enquiry is kept in professional confidence even if no lawyer-client relationship ultimately arises, in accordance with the duties applying to an advocate under section 90 of the Israel Bar Association Law, 5721-1961, and the rules of professional ethics.

It is nevertheless important to know that providing details about a particular matter may prevent the Firm from representing another party in that same matter in the future. If the Firm finds that it is precluded from handling an enquiry, it will notify the enquirer and will make no use of the information.

Submitting details does not oblige the Firm to take on the matter, and the Firm may decline an enquiry, including on grounds of conflict of interest or capacity.

Submitting details does not stop time running. Limitation periods and other procedural deadlines continue to run, and contacting the Firm through this website does not suspend them.

An online form and email are not a secure channel. Sensitive documents or privileged material should not be sent through them before a suitable channel has been agreed with the Firm.

4. Liability

The content of this website is provided "as is". The Firm endeavours to keep the information accurate and up to date but gives no undertaking to that effect.

The Firm shall not be liable for loss caused by reliance on, or use of, general information published on this website, save for liability that cannot be excluded under law.

The Firm does not undertake that the website will operate continuously or without faults, and is not responsible for its temporary unavailability.

5. Third-party links and services

The website contains links to third-party services, including WhatsApp and, if embedded, mapping services. The links are provided for the user's convenience only.

The Firm has no control over those services and is not responsible for their content, their availability or their privacy policies. Their use is governed by the terms and privacy policies of their operators.

6. Intellectual property

All rights in the content of this website, including the texts, the guides, the wording, the structure, the editing, the design, the logo and the trade marks, belong to the Law Office of Leon Sverdlov or to the rights holders who permitted their use.

The content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, translated, altered or used commercially, in whole or in part, by any means, without the Firm's prior written consent.

The Firm objects to the use of the website's content for training or developing artificial intelligence systems and language models, and to automated harvesting of content from the website, without prior written consent.

Fair use of content from this website under the Copyright Law, 5768-2007, including short quotation with attribution to the Firm by name and a link to the source page, does not require prior consent.

7. Prohibited use

The website may not be used unlawfully, in a manner that infringes the rights of others, or in a way intended to disrupt its operation.

False details, or another person's details without their authorisation, must not be submitted through the website's forms.

8. Changes to the website and to these terms

The Firm may change the website's content, structure and availability at any time.

The Firm may update these terms from time to time. The binding version is the one published on the website, and the date of last update appears at the top of the page. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated version.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and the use of this website are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.

Jurisdiction shall lie with the court competent under law.

10. Contact

For any question regarding these terms of use, please contact the Law Office of Leon Sverdlov, 51 Mohliver St., Yehud-Monosson, by telephone at 054-4417869 or by email at leon@sverdlov.co.il.
